Scars

Room 29 have done some amazing thinking, and had deep discussions about scars. What they are, where they are, why they are important, why they can be insignificant (unimportant), and ultimately what they mean to us.

When I wrote the writing unit for this topic, I was truly astounded by all the quotes, images and ideas I was able to tap into, to help the children of Hiringa syndicate get ideas to spring board their writing.

I came across a really interesting blog, called "one minute writer", and they even had a topic for one day being "scars". The subtitle of the blog says, "You have 1440 minutes in a day, use one of them to write". Well I think this is an interesting idea.

I would love you to accept the challenge and write on a topic for a minute. The topic I would like you to write about is 'shadows'. Let your imagination run wild, use descriptive language, show us;don't just tell us what you see, feel, smell, taste and smell.

You are all fabulous writers, and I look forward to reading your one minute shadow postings.

All you have to do is start the timer on the left of the page for 1 minute, and get writing about 'shadows'. When the timer 'tings', please stop writing.

I have written one to help get some ideas started. This was more difficult than I thought it would be. Have a go !!!
